RETURNING ECHOES
“Returning Echoes” is inspired by the quiet presence of the Blue Mountains. The changing light, distant ridges, and shifting air create a landscape that feels calm but always moving. The Blue Mountains gave me new life and a fresh perspective. It is where I found a forever home and a place to be. It is also where my art truly began to shine. This place holds deep personal meaning, and each painting carries that quiet gratitude. In these works, I focus on layers, soft edges, and gentle transitions. The mountains appear and fade, like an echo that returns slightly changed. I am drawn to those still moments — when light moves across the hills, when the valley feels peaceful, and when distance brings clarity. Rather than painting one exact view, I try to capture a feeling. Standing before a wide horizon can bring reflection, memory, and a quiet return to ourselves.
