Kathryn Hope is a contemporary landscape painter based in Blackheath, Blue Mountains.
Kathryn works with wax encaustic, oil, acrylic, and mixed media to create these captivating textural landscapes.
Her wax encaustic builds on her experience with both acrylic painting and print making, utilising as it does both modalities.
She has always loved mark making, combining textures and layering colour.
In her more recent work’s of wax encaustic she has brought a simplicity of composition and a more neutral colour palette.
