A View of Sydney From South Head Rd, Looking over Craigend House and Windmill and North Head. c1838
8 cm x 14 cm
Watercolour and ink on buff card
This work is reminiscent of the works Charles Rodius made around sydney in the mid to late 1830s. On the left of the composition sitting on the hill, is Craigend House and Windmill. This location is known today as Kings Cross.
To the right, North Head is visible.
We believe that this is a late 1830s depiction from the original South Head Rd.
The work is in a good original condition.
