Fate is a package of three. Not one, not two, but three. One to hold the life, one to measure out its length, and one to cut life’s tether, to end what must end. The three fates, uncompromising in their will and impartial in their judgement. Fate, the beginning, the middle, and the end. One cannot escape destiny for fate will always find a way. The three, yes, the three, no wait, what is this? One, two, three…four? Four fates? Could it be? Who is this pink impostor, this pretentious fabrication of rendered steel? A sister of fate, surely not? Audacious interloper, you stick your beak where your beak ought not be. Your company is an unwelcome crowd, here in this dark and steamy place where all is disjointed, a farce of reality. Where, I ask is here and just how did the graceful ladies of fate find themselves in such a place? Wading in a hot pool of shallow desires, seasoned with greed, a dash of vanity, and a sprinkle of superficial spice. Not a place that one would expect to find three splendid deities. Where indeed, yet one thing is for certain Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore.
