The Iconic 19th century landscape of the Blue Mountains.
The waterfall is now known as Wentworth Falls, but in the mid 19th century they derived the name ‘Weatherboard Falls’ from the Inn which provided accomodation to those crossing the Blue Mountains. The Weatherboard Inn.

This work is part of a set of 24 Australian Landscapes, a collaboration between Von Guerard and Hamel and Furgerson (of Melbourne) aiming to reproduce Von Guerard’s popular works, the set became the largest colour lithographs printed in Australia for their time.
