These little boys lived with my friend Shelley out here at Wallerawang. Bernard was totally blind and had both his eyes removed. Anyone who has followed my work for a long time may know about my Arnie. He was in a similar position, having lost both his eyes over time to glaucoma and retinal detachment. Both things, if he was able to tell me, could have been prevented. But Bernard had similar issues, and like Arnie, that did not stop him living a full, exciting life. And his little companion, Mozart. He passed away just last year at 2 days shy of 22 years.

Jane Canfield

Jane’s work revolves around what she views in the landscape, whether that is urban or rural and she enjoy’s travelling to new areas (usually camping in her Kombi with her dogs) to gain inspiration.

Utilising free brushwork, Canfield’s work is a tonal exploration of  reduction and simplification.
