Colour and shapes are what drives me in making a painting. I try to pare back what I see. The subtleties of colour in the landscape, the shapes produced in nature and the peace and calm I feel when in nature are all in there. hope that my paintings bring peace and happiness to the viewer.

Jane Canfield
Jane’s work revolves around what she views in the landscape, whether that is urban or rural and she enjoy’s travelling to new areas (usually camping in her Kombi with her dogs) to gain inspiration.
Utilising free brushwork, Canfield’s work is a tonal exploration of reduction and simplification.
