Jenny Kee
Internationally acclaimed artist and designer, Kee’s paintings and designs are a reflection of her passion for the colours and unique Australian environment.
Kee was born in Bondi, Sydney in 1947.
After an a stint overseas to discover her passion for fashion, Kee returned to Sydney to open ‘Flamingo Park’ with Linda Jackson. This store went on to be a beacon for Australian fashion and one of the most influential pairings in Australian culture. In 2019, 4 decades of their collaboration were exhibited at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.
Kee’s works have appeared on canvas, paper, silk, wool, cotton and ceramics.
Her bold and colourful designs and compositions have been shaped by a love of the land, conveying a “strong and spontaneous ,bold and optimistic” Australia.
